Listing properties outside of the United States
Officially supported regions
At this time, Got2Go only supports property listings located within the United States and its territories.
We know many of our hosts and property managers operate internationally, and global expansion is part of our upcoming roadmap. Until additional regions are officially supported, listings outside the U.S. will remain unpublished.
What happens if I add a property outside of the U.S.?
If you create or sync a property that is located outside the United States or its territories:
-
The listing will remain unpublished
-
It will not be visible to guests in search
-
Bookings cannot be accepted for that property yet
Automatic publishing when new regions launch
As Got2Go continues to globalize and add support for new countries and regions:
-
Previously unpublished (complete) listings in newly supported regions will
automatically publish once the region is turned on -
No re-listing or re-uploading will be required
-
Bookings will automatically be re-enabled for the listing
This allows hosts and property managers to prepare in advance without missing early demand.
Transactions, currency & marketplace structure
When new regions are added:
-
Got2Go will continue to operate as a U.S. based marketplace
-
All transactions will be processed in U.S. dollars ($USD)
-
Payouts, fees, and reporting will be $USD denominated
Language support
Got2Go officially supports English only. Our support tools and systems rely on translation software when assisting non-English content. While we do our best, automated translations may be inaccurate, which can affect:
-
Listing details
-
Guest communications
-
Support resolution
Compliance, local laws & host responsibility
For properties outside of the U.S. (once supported):
-
Hosts and property managers are fully responsible for complying with all local laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
-
Licensing and registration requirements
-
Tax collection and remittance
-
Consumer protection laws
-
Short-term rental regulations
-
-
All liability for guest consumer protections rests with the host or property manager, not Got2Go
Got2Go provides the marketplace technology and abides by local U.S. laws. This does not replace local legal, regulatory, or compliance obligations. By listing properties outside of the U.S., property managers and hosts are accepting liability for such obligations.
