Guest screening and charge-backs for API connected hosts and property managers
Got2Go helps hosts and property managers in many ways. To maintain great customer journeys, financial security for hosts and flexibility on booking and cancelling for both parties, we've designed a virtual card payment system with the latest technology. This applies to any host or property manager that uses third party software to connect with Got2Go, such as OwnerRez and Hostaway.
What's the payment and booking system exactly:

Got2Go payments have a 2-step process.
- Guests make payment directly to Got2Go. We manage chargeback and fraud liability with our processing partners and banks at this stage.
- Got2Go then creates a virtual credit card, and sends it to hosts and property managers for them to charge.
- Both parties are technically a merchant of record, and hosts will need their own payment processor to charge Got2Go for each booking.
- Due to the nature of this system, Got2Go only supports instant bookings. We allow guest screening for 24 business hours after a booking is made, where hosts can cancel bookings without penalty. For bookings within 72 hours of check-in, screening is allowed on a case-by-case basis – so make sure to get in touch with us before cancelling in this window.
What this means for hosts:

As guests will not have access to virtual credit cards we have created for hosts, it is impossible to ask Got2Go guests to send payment verifications such as photos of holding such cards. If property damage occurs, or there is need for additional service charges, hosts will need to settle matters with the guests privately and organize separate payment.

If concerned with other matters such as guest behavior, number of guests attending, party rules and noise complaints, and other profiling matters – hosts can perform their own screening and cancel as per the conditions above.
