Transferring Tickets - How does it work?

Most of the tickets we handle are mobile digital tickets, which are transferred to you through the original ticketing platform. Below is everything you need to know about how ticket transfers work.

At Got2Go, we help you find, buy, and sell tickets across a wide network of events and ticketing platforms. Since we operate as a marketplace, many tickets listed on Got2Go are fulfilled by third-party sellers or providers and may come from different ticketing systems such as Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, StubHub, ASX and others.

Receiving Tickets (Buying)

When you buy a ticket on Got2Go, the actual transfer happens through the original ticketing platform. Here’s how the process typically works:

  1. You place your order on Got2Go.

  2. The seller transfers the ticket to your email using the platform the ticket was originally issued from (e.g., Ticketmaster).

  3. You receive an email from that platform, typically with instructions, to accept your ticket.

  4. You may need to log in or create an account on that ticketing platform using the same email address you used at checkout.

  5. You access your tickets via the original platform’s app or digital wallet. You can still see a history of purchases and sales on Got2Go in the account dashboard.

Selling or Transferring Tickets

If you’ve purchased a ticket and wish to sell or transfer it to someone else, the process depends on where the ticket originally came from. In most cases, you’ll be using the platform where the ticket is hosted (e.g., Ticketmaster or StubHub) to perform the transfer.

Got2Go facilitates the sale and connection between buyers and sellers — but the actual ticket transfer usually happens outside of Got2Go, directly on the original issuing platform.

Need to Know

  • We only support digital tickets. No physical ticket transfers are supported.

  • You won’t be charged a fee for transferring tickets. Our fees only cover payment processing and operational costs. Third party platforms may charge for transfers independently, and sellers need to include any costs for such transfers in the listing price.

  • Some events hold tickets until closer to the event date. Delivery timing depends on the original seller, ticket platform, and in some cases on the event (such as "secret location" events where tickets are delivered close to the event date).

  • Ticket Guarantee: All tickets purchased on Got2Go are covered by our Buyer's Guarantee.
